UK Standard Visitor visa documents checklist (Nigeria)
For a UK Standard Visitor visa you need a valid passport and evidence that you can pay for the trip and will leave at the end of it. GOV.UK also lists supporting documents such as bank statements, proof of employment and details of where you'll stay.
Core documents
- A current passport valid for the whole stay, with a blank page
- Previous passports showing travel history, if you have them
- Bank statements or other proof you can support yourself and pay for the trip
- Proof of employment, business or studies, such as an employer letter or payslips
- Details of where you plan to stay and your travel plans
If someone else is paying or inviting you
Include an invitation letter and evidence of the host's finances and status in the UK, and explain your relationship to them.
Translations
Any document not in English or Welsh needs a certified translation.
